Congratulations to all of our riders at regionals and zones over the past two weekends!

Regionals

Seniors Kaitlyn Boggio and Ashleigh Bancel placed 1st and 2nd in open flat at regionals and qualified for zones. Sophomore Stephanie Consoli won her cross rails class, sophomore Rebecca Mazzaferro placed second in novice flat, and Samantha Stine won her walk-trot class!

Zones

UConn received high point team for our region and was able to send a team of riders to compete at zones. Riders Martine Maschio, Katie Shaffer, Monica Ambrozej, Samantha Calzone, Kaitlyn Boggio, and Marina Coleman represented UConn in their respective divisions where they received an overall placing of 4th.

Samantha Stine showed in the individual walk trot class where she placed in 3rd. Kaitlyn Boggio won the open flat. Rebecca Mazzaferro placed second in novice flat. Kaitlyn Boggio will be moving onto nationals in open flat as well as for the Cacchione Cup, Rebecca Mazzaferro will be moving onto nationals for novice flat.

UCET had a fantastic home-show this past Sunday; high point team, high point rider (Kaitlyn Boggio), and reserve high point rider (Barbara Hill).

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Boggio, Elizabeth Pizella, Barbara Hill, Ashleigh Bancel, Samantha Prusak, Rebecca Mazzaferro, Stephanie Consoli, Christine Hushion, and Sam Stine for winning their classes!

UCET had a good show at Windcrest this Saturday.

UCET had an impressive show this weekend at the Ethel Walker School.

Katie Shaffer, Barbara Hill, Naomi Lowe, Kaitlyn Boggio, Martine Maschio, Marina Coleman, Greer Lesnieski, Danielle Kerr, and Samantha Calzone were all awarded 1st place for their rides, congrats ladies!

UCET was awarded Reserve CHAMPION as a team, way to go UCET!

UCET had an incredible horse show this weekend. We had both the CHAMPION High Point Rider, Kaitlyn Boggio, as well as the CHAMPION High Point Team!

Kaitlyn Boggio, Samantha Prusak, Martine Maschio, Amy Hetherington-Coy, and Monica Ambrozej all won 1st place in their classes.

After a weekend off, UCET riders rode whole-heartedly at the Connecticut College horse show on Saturday. Two of our riders made it to the ride-off. Sam Prusak performed well, and Sarah Lerch was awarded Champion High Point Rider of the day!

Sarah Lerch, Sam Prusak, Dominique Martin, Marina Coleman, Barbara Hill, Amy Hetherington-Coy, and Monica Ambrozej were all awarded blue ribbons for their rides this show, congrats!
